Classes for Age 3 & Up
The Dance Academy offers instruction in many different types of dance.
The following types of dance are offered at TDA during the school year:
Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, Hip-Hop, Acrobatic Dance, Latin Dance, Drill Team Preparation & Dance Technique/TLJ
Some class types are only available to dancers of a certain age and/or skill level.

*Intro to Dance classes are for kids age 3-5.
*Sometimes we will allow kids who are within a couple of months of being 3 to register on a trial basis, if she/he is potty-trained. All Intro to Dance classes include Jazz, Ballet & Tap. Students who start the schoolyear in an Intro to Dance class, stay in that class the full school year.
*Students age 6 & older (by September 1)
choose from a wide variety of dance styles, including Level 1-4 Jazz, Ballet, Ballet/Lyrical, Contemporary 3/4/5 ONLY,
Tap, Hip-Hop, Latin and Drill Team Preparation (grade 8 & up only).
Beginner dancers start in Level 1 classes. After teacher evaluation, class level may be adjusted.
*We encourage dancers who would like to excel in dance, or who are interested in auditioning for TDA's competitive
dance team, Poise Dance Company, to enroll in Ballet, Jazz, Technique & Hip-Hop classes, in addition to any other classes
which she or he is interested.
